Whenever
I see people who have problems by a massive majority they are classic over
thinkers. They think, think, think all day long and that process of over
analysis breeds negativity. I find that people in general think too much and
that’s when the problems start. When we start to analyze we begin to take
control away from out subconscious mind and we give it to our conscious mind
instead. The conscious mind by nature is very analytical and once you put
that process into action the cogs begin to turn.
Now in
some cases there is no problem with this happening as not all conscious mind
chatter is negative a lot of it is just nonsensical. But in a lot cases in
fact the vast majority I have dealt with the consequences of this happening
are dire. Some people are able to live quite happily with the chatter of the
conscious mind dictating their lives but more people suffer because of it.
It’s the constant think and re-thinking of events and scenarios that causes
many problems for people. The process of over thinking really takes away the
fun out of life. If you have to analyze every word people say, every
upcoming event or anything else that could be actually enjoyable then where
is the fun in that.
The
process of over thinking or over analyzing makes people dull and serious. Do
you want to be like this? Or do you want to live? Don’t you yearn to be
spontaneous? I am amazed sometimes how little I think. You would think that
being in the psychology game that I would be a massive over analyzer but if
you met me and you didn’t know what I did for a living you would probably
never guess I was a therapist. I never analyze people who I meet socially or
indeed my clients. Many people in my profession are deep thinkers and a lot
of them have their heads up their arses. That is why I do not socialize with
many therapists. When I talk to people it can often become clear that they
are real deep thinkers. Looking at every nook and cranny until they become
serious and indecisive.
If you
want to be happy and live a more carefree life you must make the switch from
using your conscious mind most of the time to using your subconscious
instead. If you want to learn the process of how to do that the process it
is clearly explained in my book The Principles of Life, which can be bought
on his site. So what are you going to do now think about it or do it?
To read about banishing self-doubt read the
