the lottery

                                                                                                                          Many people I know say that they are happy with their lot in life but every week they place money on the lottery.  This seems a little inconsistent with what they say.  The fact is that many people are simply not happy with how they are living but lack the confidence to do any thing about it.  The worry of being a failure and then embarrassing themselves is a powerful dread, which holds many back.  This is where the lottery comes in . The lottery is a pipe dream that one day you might win and then solve all your problems.

The fact that fairly regularly we read about lottery winners who are still not enjoying their lives does not seem to phase people. 

Do you play the lottery? 

Do you think that one day your ship might come in? 

If you do I am sorry but I am the bringer of bad news on this dream. The fact is that you will never win the lottery.

I am saying this now to save you all the heartache and disappointment so that you can create the life you want instead.  You see if there are things that you feel are lacking in your life you can still get them without relying on a pipe dream.  What I am talking about instead is making decisions in your life about what you want from life and doing whatever it takes to achieve them.  Even if you have a dream and don’t achieve it, it doesn’t matter, it only matters that you lived for what you believed in.

The biggest tragedy is when you have a dream but never go for it because of fear of failure.  Do not let the hope of winning the lottery persuade you to abandon your ambitions.  You are far more likely to manifest your ambitions than win the lottery.  The lottery must be the biggest killer of ambition there is.  Hoping to find an easy way out.  If you want to give money to charity then by all means do, but do not put your faith in winning the lottery.   

Put your faith in yourself, your faith in yourself can move mountains.
